As an architectural designer, I spent four years inside the complexity of construction projects, watching rich construction data flatten into static documents and scattered communications. Crucial decisions struggled to reach the people who needed them, leading to rework, delays, and massive inefficiencies.
The unexpected
convergence
I was ready to walk away from the industry, until three fellow Aalto students reached out for a validation interview, and we realized we were trying to solve the same problem from different directions. They were looking for someone who understood the construction domain but also thought like a designer.
